Editing your web pages

Your website uses a program called WordPress to create, edit, and display web pages. WordPress lets you edit your web pages yourself by using your browser. To edit your pages, go to your website, click on “Login”, “Manage”, and then either “Pages” or “Posts” depending on how your site is set up. There is some learning curve. It takes some practice. All the documentation is at WordPress.org. If you need a login, contact me (see below).

Uploading Video and Pictures

You can upload pictures and video onto either your web pages (using WordPress as mentioned above) or into your photo gallery (using Gallery). Gallery is a photo and video management program that is also installed on your website.

If you want to add pictures and video with WordPress, edit your web pages as mentioned above. There is an “Add media” button in the editor.

If you want to add pictures or video to your Gallery, go to your Gallery and login. There are many features in Gallery you’ll want to learn about at the http://gallery.menalto.com/ site.

There is a 7 megabyte limit when uploading with Wordpress or Gallery.  You may need to make your video file smaller.  There is a way to upload larger files. It involves using FTP. Contact Erik for instructions.
